CLOCC is
a community & network-driven programme
We work with local stakeholders and communities to build waste management systems where waste is not leaked into the environment - neither land nor sea.
Our vision is a world where waste is minimized, properly collected, recycled, and appropriately treated. Any waste that cannot be recycled or reclaimed should be disposed of in a safe and engineered manner, ensuring the maintenance of a clean and healthy environment. This commitment extends to fostering sustainable development and embracing the principles of a circular economy.
CLOCC stands for Clean Oceans through Clean Communities
OUR GOALS
Cocreating solutions to address
marine plastic pollution

Improved municipal solid waste management creates less marine littering.
Our goals are to prevent and significantly reduce marine litter and microplastics pollution (SDG 14.1), through:
Improved municipal solid waste collection and controlled management of waste (SDG 11.6.1)
Increased recycling of suitable materials (SDG 12.5.1)
